AUSTRALIA the movie
Opening nationally November 26

The much-awaited feature film from Moulin Rouge! Director Baz Lurhmann, opens this month. Australia stars Nicole Kidman as an English aristocrat, Lady Sarah Ashley, who leaves England to follow her husband to Australia. He is in the country to sell his cattle station but Lady Ashley believes he is having an affair so travels to the outback to confront him. The property is in the north of Australia, so to get there, Lady Ashley enlists the help of a local stockman, played by Hugh Jackman. Ultimately, Lady Ashley inherits the cattle station and is forced to undertake a gruelling cattle drive to Darwin to save it. While there, she and the stockman come face to face with World War II as Darwin is bombed by the same Japanese forces that had attacked Pearl Harbour months earlier. It's an epic journey in which she falls in love with the stockman and the Australian landscape.
